So I have decided to do some improvements to my life life. This sorta like a DIY project based on my self. So this is what i am currently doing:
1. Learn to play guitar and write songs
I have always been into music in fact my whole family has always been. Because it was kinda always my family's identity to be associated with music I willingly lost the interest in playing any kinda of instrument during my late teens after being able to play piano and saxophone. I have realised lately that - after starting to learn guitar - that I did not need to run away from the music but rather find my own identity within music.armed with this I started writing songs and have two already in the bag. Having got the melody lines I must admit it sound crappy , but this is partly due to the main fact that I have only been playing guitar for a few months and as i get more and more time to practice I might actually get some stuff recoded (hopefully). Influences are currently Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Colbie Caillat, Jason Reeves and whole lot more genres RnB, Hip Hop, Alternative, Folk etc. Currently it sound like alternative but ja we'll see how this goes.
If any one does not know who dmb is well this is my fav track the the moment: the idea of you
also try and check out john mayer (the song Believe belief is a good place to start)
2. quit smoking
I have been smoking for the last 10 years on/off and I juts seemed like the logical time to stop. This Tuesday it will be four weeks and I am going strong (even if i must say so myself). I am currently getting my taste buds back and I am starting to smell again. But I take it a day at a time and checking how far it goes
3. learning a new language
So this is my other thing on the list that I think I NEED to do. My wife has been blessed by speaking this language and I think that it is vital that my song learns this as well.
Actively the only thing that I have done is go to the library and get the books.BUT I WILL GET TO THEM
anyway lets see where this little road takes me
cheers again
